DOT Therapy

Dermal Optical Thermolysis (DOT) therapy can be performed safely on nearly anyone with signs of aging skin or acne scarring. DOT Therapy laser utilizes a “dot” pattern to create thousands of microscopic perforations in the skin while leaving the areas around each “dot” intact. This allows the skin to heal more quickly than with many traditional resurfacing lasers.

After the procedure, your skin will be red, like a sunburn. The redness continues for a few days. In most cases, you may resume applying makeup after about three days. By day three or four, you will experience some peeling as your fresher skin appears. In most cases, your skin will return to its normal appearance after 7 to 10 days. Some may experience swelling and/or crusting of the skin.
