Acne

acne

Acne can be persistent and unattractive. Our dermatologists will diagnose the specific cause and create an individualized treatment ranging from oral medication to photodynamic therapy. We restore clarity to your skin and confidence in the face you present to the world.

Crusty and Scaly Lesions

The face, ears, scalp, neck or back can become the sites of hard, bumpy lesions. These can be due to excessive sun exposure. It is vital to call a dermatologist if you see or feel one on your body, as these may be pre-cancerous.

Hair Loss

Balding occurs for a variety of reasons but it is hardly ever a welcome condition. Did you know that hair growth can be surgically restored? Speak with one of our dermatologists for an evaluation and choose among hair restoration procedures that are personalized and effective.

Birthmarks, Moles and Melanoma

Birthmarks and moles are usually benign and can easily be removed for aesthetic purposes.  However, only a qualified dermatologist can distinguish between a benign mole and those that are precursors to cancer.  Skin cancer is serious and early detection is key.

Varicose Veins and Broken Blood Vessels

Dilated vessels can appear on the face as rosacea. On the legs and thighs they can take the form of varicose veins. Let us take a look and banish redness and bulges for your comfort and health.

Dark Spots or Brown Patches

Also known as “age or wisdom spots,” (and medically known as seborrheic keratosis) these spots and patches appear as we age, often as a result of sun damage. They can be unflattering but they can also be a precursor to something more serious. It is very important to have any changes in color promptly examined by a dermatologist.

Allergic Rashes

Skin can react to allergens by breaking out in an itchy rash. Don’t scratch, but do come in for patch testing that will quickly identify your particular allergen and indicate treatment. Let one of our team pinpoint and solve the problem.

Warts

No one can assume they are immune from the virus that causes warts.  While most warts appear on hands or feet, they can also appear on the genitals as a form of an STD. There are many treatment options. Let an expert dermatologist diagnose your warts and properly treat them.

Severe Dry Skin or Eczema

Scaly, itchy patches of extremely dry skin can be the result of environmental or internal stressors. The good news is that this uncomfortable, and sometimes embarrassing condition can be treated once a qualified dermatologist identifies the underlying causes.

Cosmetic & Surgical Dermatology

Rejuvenate and beautify your skin with minimally invasive and optimally effective treatments for a fresh, youthful you. Come in to discuss – and achieve- your most attractive and radiant self.

Botox® Cosmetic

Botox® Cosmetic, the most popular aesthetic treatment in the world today, relaxes the muscles and lessens the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Our dermatologists will evaluate patterns of muscle movement and identify facial lines and wrinkles.  Several small injections of Botox will be made directly into the muscles that cause these dynamic lines. Our objective is to create a naturally relaxed appearance. After a few days, the face appears lifted, more youthful and refreshed.

Fraxel Laser

Skin resurfacing with lasers is a true breakthrough for treating damaged or aging skin as it triggers the production of new collagen and elastin. It’s ideal for acne scars, pigmentation, wrinkles around the eyes and surgical scars.  The results are immediate and progressive, with optimal improvements usually visible over two to three months.  Skin looks youthful and refreshed as tone is tightened and texture is smoothed.

Dermal Fillers

Benefit from “a lift from within” with almost no risk and no recovery time. Dermal fillers can be injected to treat a loss of facial volume as in hollowing of the cheeks and mouth area, deepening lines in the nasolabial folds, thinning of the lips, drooping nasal tip, sagging mouth corners and lower portions of the face. A number of different fillers are available, each with specific and distinct advantages. Our team will help select the right product for you.  We make a little go a long way.

Chemical Peels

Skin needs to breathe free of dead cells in order to feel radiant and smooth. A chemical peel removes damaged layers of outer skin. It increases cellular turnover that in turn reveals improved texture and a brighter, more youthful look. Peels work best on patients with mild to moderate skin damage from aging, sun exposure and acne, and can produce powerful results without surgery and no down time.

Laser Hair Removal

You can permanently remove unwanted hair. We use an Nd-Yag laser, the gold standard for all skin types. The laser targets only the melanin in the root of the hair and bypasses any effect on the skin while preventing re-growth. Treatment intervals are 4 to 6 weeks for the face and 6 to 8 weeks for the body, based on the stages of hair growth.

Cool Sculpt Laser

This is the latest technology available to improve the appearance of the body. The CoolSculpting procedure is FDA-cleared and contours the body by safely and effectively freezing away unwanted fat without surgery or down time. Unlike weight loss surgery or other non-surgical weight loss procedures, with CoolSculpting the eliminated fat cells are gone for good! You may not weigh less, but your clothes will fit better, and you will enjoy looking great.

One of the best doctors I have ever been too and ever seen. Really cares about patients. Excellent education, manners, knowledge – absolutely perfect in every aspect of care – 1000% !!!

Great experience all around and I’d recommend him to anyone.

I came to the office about 15 minutes early. The office is well kept, spacious and comfortable. I spoke with the receptionist about my appointment, filled out my paperwork, and gave them my insurance info. About 15 minutes later, I was able to talk with Dr. Kao. (Amazing!). I told him my situation, and he was able to prescribe me medication which cleared up my condition in about a week and a half! Great experience all around and I’d recommend him to anyone. I’m definitely going back again!
